VAT in Oman
Oman applies Value Added Tax at a standard rate of 5% (introduced 16 April 2021), administered by the Oman Tax Authority. Certain goods and services are zero-rated or exempt.
What a compliant tax invoice needs
- Seller name, address and VAT identification number
- Buyer details and VAT number for B2B
- A unique sequential invoice number and issue date
- Description, quantity and unit price of goods/services
- The taxable amount, VAT rate and VAT amount (in OMR)
- The gross total payable
Invoicing on the go
Field sales and distribution teams need to issue a valid tax invoice at the point of sale — often offline. Invoice Max Pro is built offline-first, so nothing is lost and every document keeps its sequential number.
